Lemon Garlic Roasted Chicken


1 whole chicken

2 Tbsp. butter

1/4 cup water

4 Tbsp. Bittersweet Herb Farm Lemon Garlic Finishing Sauce


Wash chicken, pat dry, season with Lemon Garlic Finishing Sauce inside the cavity. Melt butter in a large frying pan. Brown chicken on all sides. Transfer to crockpot. Drizzle with Lemon Garlic Finishing Sauce. Add water to fry pan, stir to loosen brown bits. Pour into crockpot. Cover. Cook on low for 8 hours. Add remainder Lemon Garlic Finishing Sauce in the last hour of cooking. Transfer chicken to cutting board. Pour the juice into the sauce bowl—skim the fat off the liquid. Serve with some juice spooned over chicken. Carve bird.
